The new headquarters of the General Inspectorate of Romanian Border Police in Bucharest benefits from professional audio-video and IT&C solutions integrated by AVITECH.
Within this project, the command and control dispatch, the meeting room for crisis situations and press conference room were endowed with specific equipment.
The command and control dispatch is a modern, ergonomic space, where AVITECH integrated the following systems: videowall which comprises 10 rear projection cubes with screen diagonal of 67 ", ambiental sound system, dispatcher workstations, dedicated furniture, ergonomic 24/7 use chairs. The processing units are located in a specially designed technical room and dispatchers use only the keyboard, mouse and monitors. All systems in the room can be centrally controlled by a touchscreen display.
The meeting room for crisis situations is separated from the command and control center by a glass wall. Here was installed a video conferencing system, sound system, wireless microphones for videoconference, two LCD displays for replicating the content from the videowall.
The press conference room was equipped with a conference system, simultaneous translation system, LCD display system.
The new headquarters of the General Inspectorate will ensure the coordination of the Romanian Border Police actions, centralizing the data having an impact on state border management as well as coordinating FRONTEX actions through the Operational Command Centre. The building was inaugurated on July 24, 2012, and the ribbon cutting was attended by the Prime Minister Victor Ponta, Minister Ioan Rus and the delegated minister for Administration, Victor Paul Dobre.
