AVITECH brings forward the new teaching and learning methods by exploring the virtual environment at the 8th edition of the International Conference "eLearning and Software for Education" (eLSE) 2012.
The event was hosted by Bucharest Military Center and was organized by "Carol I” National Defense University, The Advanced Distributed Learning Department (DIDAD) and the University of Bucharest in April 2012. The conference’s main subject was: "The advantages of using technology in the learning process" and was attended by over 150 participants from the academic and research environment.
The conference promotes using technology in experimental teaching, case studies, statistics, assessments or works dedicated to the learning field and facilitates and encourages the educational and research institutions to interact and present papers and the results of the accomplished research projects.
As official partner of eLSE Conference, AVITECH presented at the event 3 D and virtual reality software applications dedicated to research and education domains. The new teaching and learning methods by exploring the virtual environment, offered by AVITECH, drew a lot of interest from the participants and encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences between the Romanian participants and those of other participating countries.
The Advanced Distributed Learning Department (DIDAD), part of "Carol I" National Defense University, was established in 2005 in order to create the proper conditions for conducting advanced distributed online educational programs. The basic principle of the advanced distributed educational system is comprised in the general e-learning concept, but uses the pattern of the Advanced Distributed Learning system, developed by the U.S. Defense Department.
