Job Description
We are looking for a BMS Automation Technician to join our team in Bucharest – Ilfov or Cluj-Napoca, with the option for partial remote work. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge in the field and be eager to contribute to large-scale projects alongside our Building Automation Division. The primary objectives include the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of building automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in building automation works, including upgrades, equipment and electrical panel installations, programming, testing, adjustments, checks, repairs, maintenance, and technical support.
- Install, configure, program, and test controllers and systems.
- Perform visual inspections and functional tests on installations and technical equipment within your responsibility.
- Carry out maintenance and repair operations on installations and equipment, following the established maintenance plan.
- Ensure the continuous functionality of installations and systems under your responsibility.
- Engage in technical discussions and site meetings.
- Supervise AVITECH installers and subcontractors on-site when necessary.
- Prepare activity reports in accordance with the department's internal working documents.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills by participating in training sessions organized by AVITECH or its technology partners.
Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience
- Technical high school studies / qualification courses in electrical, electronics, electrotechnics, or automation.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, including installation, programming, and commissioning of building automation equipment (Honeywell / Schneider Electric / Siemens / Wago / Sauter) or HVAC automation, PLC programming, security systems, or fire detection.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC and electrical installations, low voltage, building automation, energy management, and other automation and control equipment.
- Ability to analyze projects and diagrams for control, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Good knowledge of computer systems, PCs, and communication interfaces.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as BACnet/LonWorks/Modbus/M-Bus/KNX/Dali.
- Previous experience working on construction sites.
