Medicover, a major player in the private healthcare sector in Romania, has been providing medical services for 28 years, positioning itself as the third largest player in the private healthcare market. As part of Medicover AB, an international provider of medical and diagnostic services based in Sweden and listed on NASDAQ Stockholm, Medicover Romania plays a crucial role in the organization's global health network. AVITECH implemented state-of-the-art security and communication systems for this complex project, focusing on the selection and integration of advanced equipment across various domains.
The fire detection system uses Securiton technology, consisting of 4 central units B5-SCP3000A and a repeater panel B8-MIC711 for centralized control. The implementation includes a redundant LAN network, 36 loops with 1,511 MCD 573X automatic detectors, 181 MCP 535X manual buttons, 187 BX-SOL sirens, 412 BX-FOL flashes, as well as specialized modules and detectors, all managed through the GamaNet C4 software.
The carbon monoxide detection system from UTC was integrated to monitor the three basement levels of the building, using a central operation unit covering 59 detectors and associated elements, ensuring a safe environment for all occupants.
The medical call system from Schrack Seconet offers efficient communication and rapid response to emergencies across 10 levels of the building, including 108 medical rooms, switches, servers, 25 Visio Call IP switches, bedside equipment, and a CodeBlue system for announcements and sound evacuation, equipped with 728 Bosch speakers.
The video surveillance system implemented with Hikvision technology includes 180 surveillance cameras, 3 NVRs for recording and storage, a dedicated management computer, and six monitors for efficient space monitoring.
The intrusion detection and access control systems combine UTC technology for intrusion detection and the Impro access control system, covering 270 doors with 600 access cards and the necessary infrastructure for managing the flow of people.
The voice and data IT system established by AVITECH includes approximately 1,450 data ports and over 60 km of copper cables, ensuring a robust and efficient communication infrastructure essential for the facility's daily operations.
Through these implementations, AVITECH demonstrates the ability to integrate advanced technological equipment into complex solutions, ensuring security, efficient communication, and prompt emergency response in large-scale projects.
