Job Description
We are looking for a Fire Suppression Systems Engineer specializing in gas-based fire suppression systems to join our team in Bucharest – Ilfov or Cluj-Napoca, with the option for partial remote work. The ideal candidate should possess advanced knowledge in active fire protection and be eager to contribute to large-scale projects with our HVAC & Fire Fighting Division. The primary responsibilities include the installation, configuration, programming, testing, and maintenance of gas fire suppression systems.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in fire protection projects using gas-based fire suppression systems, including upgrades, equipment installations, programming, testing, adjustments, inspections, repairs, maintenance, and technical support.
- Identify and develop the most suitable solution to be implemented.
- Select the appropriate gas suppression equipment to meet the client’s needs (interior/exterior hydrants, sprinklers, deluge systems, water mist, foam systems).
- Assist in the preparation of client proposals, ensuring precision and competitiveness.
- Participate in the execution design and project planning.
- Take part in the installation, configuration, and programming of fire suppression systems.
- Engage in technical discussions and coordination meetings on-site.
- Supervise AVITECH installers and subcontractors on-site when necessary.
- Prepare activity reports in accordance with the department's internal working documents.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills by participating in training sessions organized by AVITECH or its technology partners.
Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience
- University degree in installations, hydrotechnics, or fluid mechanics.
- Advanced knowledge of gas-based fire suppression technology.
- Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installations.
- Solid knowledge of Romanian legislation and international fire protection standards.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience working on construction sites.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, including installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of water extinguishing equipment (Tyco / Viking / Grundfos / Minimax / Victaulic / similar).
